Whitefish Lake State Park is a 10-acre campground on the shores of Whitefish Lake, located just northwest of Whitefish, Montana at an elevation of 3,012 feet. The park features 25 campsites spread across upper and lower loops in a secluded, mature woodland setting with beautiful mountain views. Sites accommodate both tent and RV camping, with a maximum RV length of 40 feet. The park also offers a hike-in/bike-in shared group site for cyclists traveling the Great Divide route. The park is a popular destination for families, offering a swimming beach, concrete boat launch, and excellent water recreation opportunities. The lake's typically calm conditions make it ideal for water skiing, paddleboarding, and kayaking. A concessionaire provides kayak, stand-up paddleboard, and pedal boat rentals during summer months. Fishing is popular, and the park connects to the Whitefish Trail hiking and biking system. The campground is located near railroad tracks, and trains regularly pass by and may temporarily stop adjacent to the park. Amenities include flush toilets, hot showers, drinking water, picnic tables, fire rings, bear-resistant storage lockers, and trash removal. At least one campsite offers electrical hookups.
