About

Molly Stark State Park Campground occupies a forested hillside along Vermont's Route 9, the historic Molly Stark Trail connecting Brattleboro to Bennington. The park is named for the wife of Revolutionary War General John Stark. Two camping loops offer a mix of 17 tent/RV sites, 6 tent-only sites, and 11 lean-tos spread through the hardwood and conifer forest. Most RV sites accommodate trailers up to 28 feet, though site dimensions vary. Loop A features flush restrooms with hot and cold water plus token-operated showers. Loop B has flush restrooms with cold water only. An RV dump station is centrally located. Each campsite includes a fire ring and picnic table. Firewood and ice are sold on-site. The campground has no electric hookups. The park's main attraction is the trail to the Mt. Olga fire tower, a moderate 1.6-mile round-trip hike to a restored tower with 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains. The day-use area includes a picnic pavilion, basketball and volleyball courts, and horseshoe pits. Pets are allowed on leash throughout the campground but not in the day-use area.
