About

Woodford State Park sits at 2,400 feet in Vermont's southern Green Mountains, surrounded by the Green Mountain National Forest including the Aiken Wilderness. This 398-acre property centers around Adams Reservoir, offering a quieter, high-elevation camping experience with cooler temperatures than lower Vermont parks. The campground provides 100 sites: 60 tent/RV sites, 16 tent-only sites, 20 lean-tos, and 4 cabins (two of which are pet-friendly). Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Facilities include flush toilets, coin-operated hot showers, drinking water spigots throughout, and an RV dump station. There are no hookups at individual sites. Recreation centers on Adams Reservoir with a swimming area and car-top boat launch. The 2.7-mile Woodford Trail loops the entire park and reservoir, while the 0.5-mile Atwood Trail follows a portion of the shoreline. Fishing is popular for rainbow and brown trout. The surrounding national forest lands provide additional hiking opportunities.
