Molalla River State Park

Closed — Currently closed for the season. Group day-use sites remain unavailable through at least early January.

About

Molalla River State Park encompasses 567 acres of riparian habitat at the confluence of the Willamette, Molalla, and Pudding rivers near Canby in Clackamas County. The park protects deciduous woodland dominated by cottonwood, willow, Oregon ash, and big-leaf maple, providing important habitat for waterfowl, wading birds, deer, and small mammals. The park offers hiking trails that wind through the forest and along the river, a public boat ramp for accessing the Willamette River, and fishing opportunities. Grassy field areas provide space for picnics and games, and the park features a popular off-leash dog exercise area. The historic Canby Ferry, one of the few remaining ferries on the Willamette River, is located a quarter mile from the park. This is a day-use park with no overnight camping facilities, though two group day-use sites (Cottonwood and Fir Grove) can accommodate up to 100 people each and are available by reservation.

Directions

From Canby, head north on NE 1st Avenue, then turn right onto NE Territorial Road. Continue for approximately 2 miles, then turn left onto NE 37th Avenue. The park entrance is at the end of NE 37th Avenue.
