Silver Falls State Park campground provides a peaceful base for exploring Oregon's largest state park and its renowned Trail of Ten Falls. The campground sits along South Fork Silver Creek and reopened in June 2025 following extensive renovations. With 48 RV sites equipped with electric and water hookups, 38 tent sites, 14 cabins, and dedicated equestrian facilities including horse sites and a group site, the campground accommodates various camping styles. The park's main attraction is the Trail of Ten Falls, a 7.2-mile loop that showcases ten waterfalls, including the iconic South Falls where hikers can walk behind the 177-foot cascade. The campground serves as an excellent starting point for this adventure, located just below the South Falls Day-Use Area. Note that pets are not permitted on the Canyon Trail or inside cabins and lodges. Reservations are available through Oregon State Parks and are recommended, especially during peak season. The campground operates year-round with sites accommodating RVs up to 83 feet in driveway length, though individual site maximums vary. Each site includes one vehicle with parking, and a second vehicle can be added for a $10 per night fee.

Directions

Silver Falls State Park is located approximately 20 miles east-southeast of Salem, Oregon. From Salem, take Highway 22 east to the exit for Highway 214, then follow the signs to the park entrance.
