Open — Open year-round with seasonal loop closures. B Loop and cabins are available year-round, while A Loop and yurts close seasonally. Group tent sites operate May through October. Reservations available up to 6 months in advance.

Champoeg State Heritage Area is one of Oregon's earliest state parks, located along the scenic Willamette River southeast of Newberg. This 662-acre park holds significant historical importance as the birthplace of Oregon's provisional government, established by a pivotal vote in 1843. Today, the park preserves this heritage while offering modern camping facilities and outdoor recreation. The campground features approximately 81 campsites including full hookup sites, electric and water hookup sites, and walk-in tent sites. Additionally, the park offers yurts, cabins, and group camping areas. The campground is equipped with flush toilets, showers, and a dump station. Sites are generally level and well-spaced, accommodating large RVs. Visitors can explore the park's museums including the visitor center, Newell House, and Pioneer Mothers Log Cabin to learn about the region's pioneer history. The park offers miles of hiking and biking trails, a disc golf course, river access for fishing and boating, picnic areas, and a playground. The pastoral setting along the Willamette River provides a peaceful contrast to the mountainous terrain found in much of Oregon.
