Cedar Grove Campground
The campground is currently closed through at least mid-May 2026. When open, the campground operates by reservation only through Recreation.gov. No on-site payments are accepted and there is no cell reception in the corridor, so reservations must be made before arrival.
From Recreation.gov
There is a large logjam several miles upstream of this campground. The logjam is just downstream from Horse Creek Bridge, and blocks the entire stream. The river is unnavigable between Horse Creek Bridge and Turner Bridge. Use caution near the river, especially in flood stage.
About
Cedar Grove Campground is a tent-only campground managed by the BLM in the Molalla River Corridor Recreation Area of Clackamas County, Oregon. Located 6 miles south of Glen Avon Bridge, the campground is situated in a beautiful grove of western red cedar trees along the Molalla Wild and Scenic River, one of the few undammed tributaries of the Willamette River. The campground features 10 walk-in tent sites with a central parking lot providing 2 spaces per campsite. Each site includes a tent pad, metal fire ring, BBQ grill, and picnic table. Amenities include vault toilets and a central handpump for potable water. Firewood collection is prohibited, so campers must bring their own if they wish to have a fire. The Molalla River provides opportunities for swimming, fishing, and wildlife viewing. Nearby Hardy Creek Trailhead offers hiking and biking. Note that there is no cell phone reception in the corridor. A large logjam upstream blocks the river between Horse Creek Bridge and Turner Bridge, making that stretch unnavigable.
