About

Jenny Jump State Forest Campground occupies a wooded setting in Warren County's Highlands region. The 22 standard campsites accommodate tents and trailers, each equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. Showers and flush toilets are located within walking distance of the camping loop. The season runs from April 1 through October 31, with reservations available through camping.nj.gov. Beyond the standard sites, the forest offers two group campsites (accommodating 25 and 40 campers respectively) that include fire rings, picnic tables, and pit toilets. Eight rustic shelters near the Jenny Jump Mountain summit are available year-round; each sleeps six people with double-deck bunks, a woodburning stove, furnished living area, outdoor grill, and access to showers and flush toilets. Pets are not permitted at shelter sites. Fourteen miles of hiking trails wind through the forest, and Ghost Lake provides fishing for largemouth bass, sunfish, and catfish. The park's location offers dark skies valued by astronomers visiting the United Astronomy Clubs of New Jersey observatory on the summit.
