About
Mineral Springs Group Campground occupies a forested setting at 2,500 feet elevation in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest of north-central Washington. Located along Highway 97 approximately 19 miles north of Cle Elum, the campground serves as a base camp for exploring the surrounding Cascade Range terrain. The namesake mineral springs that once existed near the campground, known for their sulfur smell, dried up over 60 years ago. The campground offers one reservable group site that accommodates up to 50 people with space for up to 10 vehicles, plus eight first-come, first-served single-family sites. All sites feature picnic tables and fire rings with grills. Vault toilets and drinking water from a hand pump are provided. The group site has a gravel back-in driveway with a 35-foot maximum vehicle length. The area provides access to hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking during summer and early fall. Nearby Red Top Mountain offers a short hike to a historic fire lookout with views of Mount Stuart, Mount Rainier, and the Teanaway Valley. Winter brings opportunities for skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling in the region.
