About

At an elevation of 2,500 feet, Mineral Springs Group Campground occupies a scenic location in the mountainous terrain of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest in northern Washington. Named for sulfur-scented springs that dried up over 60 years ago, the campground offers one reservable group site that can accommodate up to 50 guests, along with eight first-come, first-served single-family sites. The group site is equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings with grills, and the campground provides vault toilets and hand-pump drinking water. Located immediately adjacent to Highway 97, the campground offers convenient access while being surrounded by the diverse landscapes of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, which features high glaciated alpine peaks along the Cascade Crest, lush old-growth forest valleys, and rugged shrub-steppe country. The area is a prime location for outdoor recreation year-round. Summer and early fall bring opportunities for hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking, with several access trails available from the campground for day hikes and overnight backpacking trips. Winter transforms the area into terrain suitable for skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobiling. Nearby Red Top Mountain offers a short hike to Red Top Fire Lookout, where visitors can enjoy spectacular views of Mount Stuart, Mount Rainier, and the Teanaway Valley. The surrounding wilderness supports abundant wildlife including deer, porcupine, native fish, and migratory birds.
