About

Eightmile Group Site provides a secluded forest setting for large groups along the scenic Icicle Creek corridor in Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. The single site can accommodate up to 70 guests and 25 vehicles, making it ideal for family reunions, scout troops, and organized gatherings. The campground sits beneath a canopy of pine and fir trees at approximately 4,000 feet elevation, eight miles from Leavenworth. The area offers diverse recreational opportunities throughout the operating season. The nearby Fourth of July Trail climbs from forested terrain into open alpine meadows with expansive views of the Stuart Mountain Range and Icicle Valley over its 10.6-mile length. Anglers can fish for rainbow and cutthroat trout at nearby Toketie Lake, while numerous trails in the area are suitable for mountain biking. The campground's location provides access to the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, an area of over 362,000 acres featuring glacier-carved terrain, more than 700 lakes and ponds, and diverse ecosystems ranging from wet Douglas fir forests to dry ponderosa pine stands.
