About
Meadow Creek Campground is located along the Chiwawa River within the Wenatchee River Ranger District of Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Situated at 2,250 feet elevation, this primitive campground offers direct river access and sees light use compared to other campgrounds in the area. The setting is forested and provides a quiet escape approximately 6 miles from Fish Lake. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system and no fees required. Facilities are minimal, with vault toilets available but no potable water on-site. Visitors must bring their own water or be prepared to filter and treat water from the river. There is no trash service, so campers must pack out all waste. The campground can accommodate trailers up to 30 feet in length, though the access road (Forest Road 6300) is a primitive forest road that may be challenging for larger rigs. Access is via Chiwawa River Road and Forest Road 6300 from the Leavenworth area. The campground is closed seasonally during winter months, typically due to snow and road conditions along the Chiwawa River drainage. During the open season, the campground serves as a base for fishing, river activities, and exploring the surrounding national forest.
