An Air Quality Alert has been issued by the following agencies: Washington Department of Ecology An Air Quality Alert has been issued for Chelan, Douglas, and Okanogan Counties until further notice due to current and expected smoke from regional fires. Particulate matter (PM2.5) may reach Unhealthy levels for areas downwind from active wildfires. Be sure to check air monitors in your area before outdoor activities. When air quality is Unhealthy, everyone should reduce exposure. Limit time outside, avoid strenuous outdoor activity, and follow tips for cleaner indoor air.

Meadow Creek Campground sits along the scenic Chiwawa River in the Wenatchee River Ranger District of the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. At 2,250 feet elevation and just 6 miles from Fish Lake, the campground provides a quiet base for fishing, hiking, and exploring the surrounding national forest lands. This is a primitive, undeveloped campground with no fees and no amenities. There are no restrooms, no potable water, and no trash services. Campers must bring all water and pack out all trash. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations. Trailer length is restricted to 30 feet maximum due to road and site conditions. The Chiwawa River corridor offers excellent opportunities for fishing and wildlife viewing. The area sees light use, making it appealing for those seeking solitude in a forested riverside setting.

Directions

From Leavenworth, WA, take US-2 West for 15 miles, then turn right on WA-207 North and follow it for 4.4 miles. Turn right on Chiwawa Loop Road and go 1.2 miles, keeping right at the intersection. Take the second left onto Chiwawa River Road and follow it for 2.4 miles. Turn left onto Meadow Creek Road/Forest Road 6300 and go 2.4 miles.
