About
Grouse Creek Group Site offers groups a quiet forest retreat in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, located approximately 13.5 miles from the former Lake Wenatchee Ranger Station. The campground sits at roughly 1,850 feet elevation near the confluence of Grouse Creek and the Chiwawa River, providing a scenic backdrop for group gatherings. The site is equipped with picnic tables, campfire rings, and two accessible vault toilets. Potable water and electric hookups are not available, so groups should come prepared with adequate water supplies. Trash service is not provided; visitors must pack out all refuse to a dumpster at Goose Creek Campground several miles away. The surrounding area offers excellent hiking, fishing, and biking opportunities. Wenatchee Lake is nearby for swimming and angling for brook trout, smallmouth bass, and cutthroat trout. Winter brings skiing, snowmobiling, and other snow activities to the Wenatchee Ranger District.
