About
Mary Island State Park comprises 12 heavily-wooded acres with steep rocky outcroppings in the St. Lawrence River's Thousand Islands region. The park is accessible only by boat from Dewolf Point State Park (2.5 miles over water), Grass Point State Park (4 miles over water), or Keewaydin State Park (2 miles over water). The campground features 12 waterfront tent-only campsites scattered throughout the island, offering seclusion and spectacular views of the Canadian shore or the shipping channel. Campers can beach or moor their boats near their campsites. The island's terrain includes steep rocky outcroppings and several foot trails for exploring. The park provides a unique island camping experience in the Thousand Islands with picnic facilities, fishing opportunities, and a peaceful wooded setting. The location offers front-row views of international shipping traffic and the Canadian shoreline just hundreds of feet away.
