About
Keewaydin State Park sits on the banks of the St. Lawrence River in New York's scenic Thousand Islands region. The campground provides 47 sites positioned to take advantage of river views, though steep rocky terrain separates the camping area from the shoreline. This is a developed but primitive campground with no utility hookups at individual sites. The park's sheltered marina accommodates both seasonal and transient boaters, with boat slips available for vessels up to 36 feet. A boat launch provides direct access to the St. Lawrence for fishing, jet skiing, and general boating. The in-ground swimming pool operates seasonally from late June through early September, offering a reliable swimming option when river conditions are unfavorable. Three pavilions are available for group rentals, accommodating 20-100 people at rates from $50-$200. Winter visitors can enjoy ice fishing and cross-country skiing. Boat rentals in 14 and 16-foot sizes are available for those without their own watercraft.
