* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations 2 to 4 feet. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph creating blowing and drifting snow and at times white out conditions. * WHERE...Greatest snow amounts will be found near Watertown and Fort Drum areas and also southward to across the Tug Hill region. * WHEN...Until 4 PM EST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult to impossible at times within lake effect snow. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday through Wednesday commutes. Gusty winds will down tree branches and cause isolated power outages. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Expect snowband oscillation. Snowfall rates up to 4 inches per hour at times for the Tug Hill region Monday night through Tuesday night. Wind chill values zero to 10 below zero Monday night through Tuesday night.

Located on the St. Lawrence River near Alexandria Bay, Keewaydin State Park offers 48 campsites with stunning views of the river and passing ocean-going vessels. The park's unique terrain features steep, rocky outcroppings between campsites and the shoreline, providing excellent vantage points for watching maritime traffic. The campground operates seasonally from late May through early September. The park is a popular destination for boating enthusiasts, with a sheltered marina offering boat launch facilities and dock space for both seasonal and transient visitors. Anglers enjoy excellent fishing opportunities on the St. Lawrence River. The park features an Olympic-size swimming pool, picnic areas, and a playground for families. Each campsite includes a fire pit and picnic table, with back-in driveways accommodating RVs and campers up to 40 feet in length. Keewaydin State Park provides convenient access to other Thousand Islands attractions and state parks. The facility offers modern amenities including showers and restrooms, pavilions available for rental, and a marina store. Pets are welcome at campsites with proper rabies vaccination documentation. During winter months when camping is closed, the park remains open for day-use activities including ice fishing and cross-country skiing.
