Greatest snow accumulation expected south of Watertown and Fort Drum. * WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are expected to continue today and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel will remain very difficult with hazardous conditions from lake effect snow continuing to impact travel through the week. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake effect snow is expected oscillate several times downwind of Lake Ontario this week. Forecast snowfall amounts could be much higher where lake bands persist during this long duration event.

Dewolf Point State Park is a small, rustic camping destination located on Wellesley Island in the St. Lawrence River's Lake of the Isles. Established in 1898 as part of the St. Lawrence Reservation, this intimate park offers 15 non-electric campsites alongside 14 rental cabins. The campground can accommodate tents and smaller RVs, with a maximum vehicle length of 20 feet. The park's amenities include a boat launch, seasonal dockage, a turn-of-the-century stone gazebo, picnic tables, fire rings, a dump station, restrooms, and showers. The location is particularly popular with anglers fishing the St. Lawrence River and families seeking a peaceful retreat. With its small size and limited facilities, Dewolf Point State Park maintains a quiet, natural atmosphere. From Interstate 81, take Exit 51 onto Wellesley Island. Proceed north for approximately two miles to reach Dewolf Point State Park at 45920 County Route 191, Fineview, NY 13640.
