About

Kring Point State Park sits on a scenic peninsula where the south shore faces Goose Bay and the north shore fronts the St. Lawrence River. Standing anywhere in the park, visitors see water and many of the 1,700 islands for which the region is named. Half of the campground's sites are directly on the waterfront, and virtually every cabin and campsite has a river or bay view. The campground offers 95 tent and RV sites plus 8 rustic cabins that sleep 4-6 people. Sites accommodate equipment lengths of 20-40 feet depending on location, though all are back-in only. Facilities include modern restrooms with showers, a dump station, potable water fill-up stations, picnic areas with shelters, and a playground. The park features boat launches and dockage on both the river and bay sides, along with a sandy beach on the St. Lawrence. Cabins are basic and require guests to bring their own linens and kitchen utensils. Peak season (late June through August) requires 7-14 night minimum stays for cabins, while off-season allows 2-night minimums. Three ADA-accessible accommodations are available: campsites 75 and 108, plus Cabin 1.
