About

Kring Point State Park is a 61-acre park situated on a narrow peninsula in Jefferson County, New York, where the south shore faces Goose Bay and the north shore faces the St. Lawrence River. The park's location provides stunning water views and vistas of many of the 1,864 islands that give the region its name. The campground features 100 campsites, with half located directly on the waterfront. Virtually every campsite and cabin offers river or bay views. The park provides docks on both the river and bay, making it ideal for boaters and anglers. A sandy swimming beach with lifeguards during peak season offers a place to cool off in summer. Other amenities include a playground, pavilion for group events, and showers. Fishing, boating, swimming, and picnicking are the primary warm-weather activities. The park is open year-round for day use, and during winter months, visitors enjoy cross-country skiing. Waterfowl hunting is permitted in season after Columbus Day. Reservations are available through ReserveAmerica and are highly recommended, as this popular park fills quickly during the summer season.
