About

Marsters Spring Campground is a peaceful, rustic getaway along the Chewaucan River in the Fremont-Winema National Forest. Located 20 minutes south of Paisley, Oregon, this small campground offers 10 widely spaced sites that provide solitude amid a landscape of sagebrush, alder, juniper, and ponderosa pine. The consistent water levels of the Chewaucan River create prime habitat for bull trout, and anglers can enjoy catch-and-release fishing. Each site features a picnic table and fire grate, and the campground has two vault toilets and a hand pump for potable water. This is a pack-it-out campground with no garbage service. The Chewaucan Crossing trailhead is just 1.5 miles up the road, accessible by vehicle or on foot along the river. The campground operates seasonally from May 15 through October 15 with full services, though reduced-service camping is available outside those dates. Sites are first-come, first-served at $6 per night for a single site, plus $2 for additional vehicles. A 14-day stay limit applies.
