Manchester State Park Campground

About

Manchester State Park sits on the eastern shore of the Kitsap Peninsula where Rich Passage meets Puget Sound, offering campers waterfront access with views of Bainbridge Island, the Seattle skyline, and the Olympic Mountains. The 111-acre park served as a U.S. Navy coastal defense installation in the early 1900s, and the brick Torpedo Warehouse remains as an interpretable historic landmark. Campsites are nestled in second-growth forest of Douglas fir, western red cedar, and big-leaf maple. The campground provides standard sites and partial hookup sites suitable for tents or RVs depending on site dimensions. Each campground loop has a full restroom building with hot showers and drinking water. Hiker/biker sites are available first-come, first-served, and two Cascadia Marine Trail campsites serve paddlers and sailors arriving by human or wind-powered watercraft. A group camp with 12 RV hookup sites, a covered shelter, and a private restroom is available for larger parties. Beyond camping, the park offers 2.5 miles of hiking trails, 3,400 feet of saltwater shoreline for beachcombing and wildlife watching, and picnic areas with Puget Sound views. The torpedo warehouse is open for self-guided exploration during park hours.
