About

Blake Island Marine State Park is a 475-acre marine camping park located in Puget Sound, accessible only by private boat, kayak, or tour boat. The island offers 44 standard campsites available year-round, with select sites reservable during peak season from May 15 through September 15. Outside of peak season, all sites operate as first-come, first-served unless reserved. The campground also features three Cascadia Marine Trail sites on the west side of the island for human- or wind-powered watercraft arrivals, and a group camp that accommodates up to 50 people with year-round reservations. The island provides five miles of saltwater beach shoreline with magnificent views of the Olympic Mountains and Seattle skyline. Eight miles of hiking trails wind through forests, meadows, and along beaches, offering opportunities for exploration and wildlife viewing. The park includes moorage docks with electrical service and mooring buoys available on a first-come, first-served basis, with moorage limited to three consecutive nights. Four restrooms (one ADA-accessible), one shower area, and a small park store at the ranger office provide essential amenities. Visitors can enjoy beach exploration, hiking, kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, crabbing, shellfishing, scuba diving, and bird watching. The park operates on a strict pack-it-in, pack-it-out policy with no trash receptacles available. Fires are allowed in designated fire pits and grills. Dogs are permitted on leash. This unique marine state park offers a true island camping experience while remaining easily accessible from the Seattle metropolitan area.

Directions

Blake Island is accessible only by private boat, kayak, paddleboard, or tour boat. The island is located in Puget Sound west of Seattle and southwest of Bainbridge Island. Moorage docks and buoys are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
