About

Illahee State Park is a 75-acre marine camping park located on Port Orchard Bay in Kitsap County, Washington, offering 1,785 feet of saltwater shoreline and year-round camping opportunities. The campground contains 24 total sites, including 23 standard sites and one full-hookup site with electric, water, and sewer. All sites are reservable through Washington State Parks, with first-come, first-served availability for unreserved sites. The maximum RV length is 40 feet with limited availability. The park is distinguished by its old-growth forest, the last remaining in Kitsap County, featuring towering Douglas firs, Western red cedars, Western hemlocks, and bigleaf maples. Campers have access to beach activities including fishing, crabbing, and shellfish harvesting during open seasons. A pier extends into Port Orchard Bay, and the park offers a 356-foot moorage dock and buoys for boaters. Additional amenities include flush toilets with showers, a dump station, drinking water, fire pits, and trash service. The park provides three reservable covered picnic shelters and numerous day-use facilities. Activities include hiking on trails through the forest, kayaking, paddleboarding, scuba diving, and exploring the beach. Military history enthusiasts can view a memorial featuring naval guns from the USS West Virginia.
