Dash Point State Park Campground is a full-service camping destination on the shores of Puget Sound in Federal Way, Washington. This 461-acre park combines beach recreation with forested trails, creating an accessible outdoor escape between two major urban centers. The campground offers 140 total sites including 73 standard sites, 27 utility sites with electric and water hookups, and an ADA accessible site. RVs and trailer combinations up to 32 feet are accommodated. Modern amenities include flush restrooms, hot showers, drinking water, and a trailer dump station. A group camp with individual sites surrounding a communal fire ring serves organized groups. Rental cabins provide roofed accommodation options for those preferring not to tent camp. The park's main attraction is its 3,301 feet of sandy saltwater shoreline with unobstructed views across Puget Sound. The beach is a hotspot for skim boarding and hosts camps, competitions, and gatherings. Visitors enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, beachcombing, and marine life study. Over 11 miles of trails wind through the forested interior for hiking and mountain biking. Interpretive programs run June through August with amphitheater programs on weekends. The park operates year-round with seasonal operational changes during winter months.

Directions

From I-5, take exit 143 for 320th St. Head west on 320th St. for approximately four miles until it ends at a T-intersection. Turn right onto 47th St., then left onto Hwy. 509/Dash Point Rd. Continue for about two miles to reach the park. The campground is on the west side of the street, and the day-use area is on the east side.
