About

Kitsap Memorial State Park is a 58-acre waterfront park on the western shore of Hood Canal, established in 1950. The campground offers a variety of overnight options including 19 standard campsites, 3 partial-hookup sites, 8 full-hookup sites, 3 hiker/biker sites, and 4 cabins. Full hookup sites provide electric, water, and sewer connections, while partial hookup sites have electric and often water hookups. The park features 460 feet of saltwater shoreline on Hood Canal, making it popular for beachcombing, clamming, and wildlife viewing. Amenities include a restroom with showers, an ADA-accessible restroom, drinking water, fire pits, and picnic facilities. A group camp accommodating up to 56 people is available April through October. The park is located between Poulsbo and the Hood Canal Bridge, accessible via Highway 3 and Big Valley Road. Winter campers should note that water is turned off from November 1 through March 1, though a winter water supply is available near the campground restrooms.
