About
Lund Park Campground sits in a quiet, forested setting along crystal-clear Brice Creek in the Umpqua National Forest. The 10 tent-only sites are arranged in two loops: Meadow Loop (sites 1-3) and sites 4-10 along NFSR 2200-770. Each site includes one parking space, a picnic table, and a fire ring with attached grill. Two vault toilets serve the campground, but no potable water is available; campers must filter or treat water from nearby sources. The campground provides direct access to the 5.7-mile Brice Creek Trail via a footbridge on the west side of camp. The trail follows a scenic, rocky canyon with numerous small waterfalls and pools popular for swimming and sunbathing in summer. Nearby trails include Upper and Lower Trestle Falls, Adams Mountain Way Trail, and Marten Flume Trail. Lund Park has rich historical roots as a stopover for miners traveling from Cottage Grove to the Bohemia Mines during the early 1900s. The area once contained a post office, hotel, dam, and powerhouse. Near campsite #1, visitors can still find the moss-covered remains of a concrete foundation.
