About
Hobo Camp Campground is a small, four-campsite roadside campground located along Forest Service Road 2470 in the Umpqua National Forest. This low-key campground sits on a terrace above Brice Creek, offering a relaxing weekend getaway in a mixed conifer forest setting. The campground includes four individual campsites and one group campsite, each equipped with picnic tables and fire pits. A short, winding trail from the campground descends to the rocky shore of Brice Creek, where visitors can enjoy the cascading pools and clear water. Nearby Hobo Creek provides additional opportunities for exploration and photography. The campground is conveniently located near other recreation opportunities, with Cedar Creek Campground, Lund Park Campground, and Brice Creek Trailhead just down the road, providing access to the popular Brice Creek Trail #1403. Recreational gold panning is allowed in Brice Creek in the vicinity of the campground. Facilities are minimal but adequate: vault toilets are provided, but there is no drinking water or garbage service, so visitors must pack out all trash and bring or treat water from nearby sources. The campground is free to use and operates on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum stay of 14 consecutive days.

From Cottage Grove, travel east on Row River Road 2400 for 19 miles to Brice Creek Road 2470. Turn right on County Road 2470 and continue for 7.5 miles. Hobo Camp is located on both sides of the road.
