Alcohol Prohibitions
This Order describes acts that are prohibited upon lands, roads and trails within the National Forest System administered by the Forest Service Pacific Northwest Region in regards to alcoholic beverages.
Aquatic Invasive Species
This Order prohibits 1) possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic invasive animal species AND 2) prohibits possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic or riparian invasive plant species - on National Forest System lands in the Pacific Northwest Region as specified in the Order.
Restrictions on Use of Forage and Mulch Products
This Order prohibits unloading, storing, or using any straw, hay, grain, seed, or other forage or mulch products that are not state-certified weed free on the National Forest System lands, roads or trails in any Closure Area as specific in the Order. Some examples of these include hay bales, hay…
About
Nestled on a river terrace beneath a canopy of old-growth Douglas fir and western red cedar, Cedar Creek Campground offers an intimate forest camping experience in the heart of Umpqua National Forest. The campground consists of 9 single sites and 1 double site, each equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and tent pad. The setting along Brice Creek provides excellent opportunities for swimming in the creek's pools, fishing, and photography. The surrounding area features diverse recreation options including the popular Brice Creek Trail, which winds 5.7 miles through a scenic rocky canyon with small waterfalls and old-growth forest. Berry picking is productive in late summer, and the area sees moderate use, making it easier to find a site than busier campgrounds. Mountain biking trails are also accessible nearby. This is a primitive campground with vault toilets but no potable water. Campers must filter or treat water from Brice Creek or bring their own supply. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. As of 2026, payment is cashless only via the Forest Service's Scan & Pay system.
Directions
From Cottage Grove, OR, travel east on Row River Road 2400 for 19 miles to Forest Road 2470. Turn right on County Road 2470 and continue for 4 miles along Brice Creek to Cedar Creek Campground on the left.
