About

Lowell State Recreation Site is a day-use state park located on the north shore of Dexter Reservoir in Lane County, Oregon. Managed by Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, this lakeside facility provides excellent access to Dexter Lake for boating, water skiing, and swimming. The park features a large reservable picnic shelter that overlooks the lake, complete with covered kitchen area, electricity, electric cooktops, drinking water, and seating for up to 150 people. Additional amenities include a wooded picnic area with tables, a children's playground, basketball court, and an expansive grassy field that slopes down to a small swimming beach. The marina facilities include a large dock and four-lane boat launch ramp, making it popular with sailboats and powerboats. Flush restrooms are plumbed and open year-round. The picnic shelter is winterized from November through March, during which time it remains available on a first-come, first-served basis for walk-in use, though water and electric service are not provided during winter months. All vehicles must display a valid OPRD pass or permit. Overnight camping is not permitted at this facility.
