About
Fall Creek State Recreation Area encompasses six day-use parks and two campgrounds surrounding Fall Creek Reservoir, a scenic lake managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Lane County, Oregon. Cascara Campground is the primary camping area, offering 39 primitive campsites amid a grove of Douglas fir trees along the lakeshore. Many sites provide views of the reservoir, and the campground includes a boat ramp and designated swimming area. The campground operates on a first-come-first-served basis with no advance reservations accepted. Sites feature fire rings and picnic tables. Vault toilets and potable water are available on-site. Fisherman's Point Group Campground is located just across the road, offering a single reservable group site for up to 64 people with vault toilets and potable water. The reservoir offers opportunities for fishing, boating, swimming, and wildlife viewing. Water levels fluctuate seasonally. Blue-green algae blooms may occur from April through September, so campers should check Oregon Health Authority advisories before swimming.
