About
Lone Mesa Group Sites are managed by the Bureau of Land Management and consist of five reservable group camping areas ideal for school groups, family reunions, and large gatherings. The campground sits along Highway 313, approximately 30 minutes from Moab, at an elevation 1,000 feet higher than town, offering slightly cooler temperatures and expansive views of the surrounding canyon country. Each group site features fire grates, picnic tables, vault toilets, shade shelters, and large parking areas that can accommodate multiple RVs and trailers. Site A includes an equestrian corral. The campground does not have water, dump stations, or electric hookups. The sites accommodate between 30 and 40 people depending on the specific site. The location provides access to multiple four-wheel drive roads, mountain biking trails, and hiking opportunities. Nearby attractions include Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, Dead Horse Point State Park, Gemini Bridges, the White Rim Trail, and Mineral Bottom on the Green River. Groups often use Lone Mesa as a staging area before and after trips into Canyonlands National Park.
