About
North Klondike Campground is a mountain biker's paradise situated approximately 23 miles north of Moab, Utah, managed by the BLM Moab Field Office. The campground provides direct access to the Klondike Bluffs trail system, which offers over 50 miles of singletrack mountain bike trails ranging from fast, flowy riding to tight and technical terrain.
The campground features 25 individual campsites, each with a gravel parking pad accommodating two vehicles, a fire ring, and a picnic table. Vault toilets and trash receptacles are conveniently located throughout. Two group sites are also available, each accommodating up to 20 people and 6 vehicles, with additional amenities including BBQ grills and shade shelters.
This is a primitive campground with no potable water, electrical hookups, or dump station. Individual sites operate on a first-come, first-served basis with payment via the Recreation.gov mobile app's QR code system. Group sites require advance reservation through Recreation.gov. The campground offers views of Copper Ridge, surrounding bluffs, and the distant La Sal Mountains, with easy access to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks.
Directions
From Interstate 70, take exit 182 for Crescent Junction/Moab. Head south on US 191 for 8.6 miles. Turn left onto BLM road 143, immediately crossing over the railroad tracks. Follow signs for North Klondike Bluffs. Stay on the maintained dirt road for 1 mile following signs to the campground. From Moab, drive 23 miles north on US 191 and turn right onto BLM road 143.
