About
Logging Creek Campground is a quiet developed campground located in the northeastern region of the Little Belt Mountains within the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest. Situated approximately 15 miles from the US Highway 89 corridor, the campground offers 25 accessible sites in a scenic setting below limestone cliffs. Logging Creek flows through the area and provides prime cutthroat trout fishing opportunities, though mandatory catch and release rules apply. The campground is big rig friendly, with the largest site able to accommodate trailers up to 54 feet in length. The Deep Creek National Recreation Trail trailhead is located about 5 miles south of the campground, offering opportunities to explore canyons and ridges via motorcycle. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations available, and camping is limited to 16 consecutive days. A food storage order is in effect to prevent human-bear conflicts. Amenities include drinking water from a hand pump during warmer months, vault toilets with at least one ADA-accessible facility, and each campsite features a fire ring or grill plus a picnic table. The nightly fee is $10 per site, with a 50% discount available for Interagency Senior/Access pass holders. Leashed dogs are welcome, but horses are not permitted in the campground.
