About

Logging Creek Campground is a quiet developed campground in the northeastern region of the Little Belt Mountains within the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest. The 25-site campground sits along Logging Creek, which flows below scenic limestone cliffs and offers prime cutthroat trout fishing under mandatory catch-and-release rules. The Deep Creek National Recreation Trail, about 5 miles south, provides opportunities to explore canyons and ridges via motorcycle. The campground underwent major renovations in 2025, adding pull-through camping sites for larger trailers and RVs. The largest slot accommodates trailers up to 54 feet. All sites include a fire ring or grill and picnic table. Vault toilets are handicap accessible, and drinking water is available from a hand pump from Memorial Day through Labor Day. All camping is first-come, first-served with no reservations. A $10/night fee applies, payable at the self-serve station by cash or check. Camping is limited to 16 consecutive days. A food storage order is in effect March 1 through December 1 to prevent human-bear conflicts. Leashed dogs are welcome, but horses are not permitted.
