About

Giant Springs State Park encompasses nearly 14 miles of Missouri River shoreline just outside Great Falls, Montana. The park's centerpiece is one of the largest freshwater springs in the country, producing over 156 million gallons of crystal-clear water each day. First recorded by the Lewis and Clark Expedition in 1805, the springs remain a remarkable natural feature. This is strictly a day-use park with no overnight camping facilities. The park offers extensive day-use amenities including picnic shelters with grills, playground areas, restrooms, and the popular Rivers Edge Trail for hiking and biking. The on-site fish hatchery provides educational opportunities for visitors of all ages. The park is open year-round from sunrise to sunset. Day-use fees are $8 per vehicle for non-residents, while Montana residents with state parks vehicle registration enter free.
