Log Yard Campground is a backcountry camping area located along the Current River in the Ozark National Scenic Riverways. This well-maintained campground features 6 first-come, first-served sites that provide access to large gravel bars and impressive river bluffs. As one of the darkest areas of the park, the campground offers exceptional stargazing opportunities away from light pollution. The campground is especially popular with boaters due to its year-round boat ramp, making it an ideal base for gigging, trapping, and exploring the Current River. Located about 30 minutes from Eminence, Missouri, the campground offers a remote backcountry experience while still providing essential amenities. The site features vault toilets year-round and seasonal potable water. Starting April 15, 2025, payment is accepted only through the Scan & Pay system on the recreation.gov mobile app. While the app works offline, visitors should download it and set up their account beforehand as cell service is limited. The campground is accessible via a short stretch of gravel road and accommodates RVs and trailers according to park regulations.

Directions

From Eminence, head east on State Highway 106 for 16.25 miles. Turn south onto Highway HH and continue for about 6 miles until it dead-ends into County Road 555. Turn west and follow the gravel road less than one mile to the campground.
