Log Yard Campground
Open year-round. Reservations required through Recreation.gov. Starting April 15, 2025, backcountry campgrounds accept payment only through Scan & Pay on the Recreation.gov mobile app. Potable water is seasonal, typically available mid-April through mid-October.
About
Log Yard Campground sits in the backcountry of Ozark National Scenic Riverways along the Current River, offering six well-maintained campsites. The campground provides basic amenities including vault toilets year-round, picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern posts at each site. Potable water is available seasonally, typically from mid-April through mid-October when park water systems are operational. The location is prized for its river access, with large gravel bars and impressive bluffs on the nearby Current River banks. A year-round boat ramp makes this a popular destination for boaters, whether for gigging, trapping, or simple day trips on the river. The area is also one of the darkest in the park, making it excellent for stargazing. Access requires driving on gravel roads for less than a mile, making it accessible to standard vehicles. The campground is about 30 minutes from Eminence, Missouri.
Directions
From Eminence, head east on State Highway 106. After 16.25 miles, turn south onto Highway HH. Stay on HH for about 6 miles until it dead-ends into County Road 555. Turn west and follow the gravel road for less than a mile to reach the campground.
