About

Clubhouse Campground sits on the banks of the lower Current River in a remote corner of Ozark National Scenic Riverways. This small backcountry campground features just 5 drive-in sites, each offering a mix of sun and shade along the scenic riverway. The campground provides easy river access and proximity to attractions like Clubhouse Bluff and the historic Tram Road. As a backcountry campground, Clubhouse offers basic amenities including vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern posts at each site. There is no potable water, showers, or electric hookups. Campers should come prepared with their own water supply and supplies for a self-sufficient experience. Reaching the campground requires driving approximately 4.75 miles on gravel County Road 60-221. Some sections are steep, and RVs or trailers over 30 feet may have difficulty navigating the route. The remoteness is part of the appeal for those seeking solitude along Missouri's Current River.

Directions

From Ellsinore, drive about 6.5 miles west on Highway 60. Turn west onto State Highway ZZ and drive 1 mile to the bend where it intersects with County Road 60-221. Follow the county road south for about 4.75 miles. The campground is near the bottom of a hill along the Current River. This route requires driving on gravel roads for almost 5 miles with some steep areas.
