About

Clubhouse Campground is a remote backcountry campground located on the banks of the lower Current River within Ozark National Scenic Riverways. Far off the beaten path, this primitive site offers a rustic camping experience with 5 campsites featuring partial shade, fire rings, and picnic tables. The campground provides easy access to the Current River for swimming, fishing, and floating activities. The remote location offers solitude and a true backcountry experience. Nearby attractions include Clubhouse Bluff and the historic Tram Road, both accessible by short drives. The campground features vault toilets year-round but has no potable water, showers, or hookups. Campers must bring all necessary supplies including water. Access to the campground requires driving nearly 5 miles on County Road 60-221, a gravel road with steep sections. From Ellsinore, travel west on Highway 60 for 6.5 miles, turn west onto State Highway ZZ for 1 mile, then follow County Road 60-221 south for 4.75 miles. The challenging access makes this campground less suitable for large RVs or trailers, though they are permitted. The remote setting and primitive amenities make this an ideal destination for experienced campers seeking solitude along the scenic Current River.

Directions

From Ellsinore, drive about 6.5 miles west on Highway 60. Turn west onto State Highway ZZ and drive 1 mile to where it intersects with County Road 60-221. This route requires driving on gravel roads for almost 5 miles with steep sections.
