About

Live Oak Group Campground occupies a scenic oak grove setting in Sequoia National Forest, approximately 6 miles north of Lake Isabella along Highway 155. The single group site can accommodate up to 150 people with parking for 30 vehicles, making it suitable for large gatherings, family reunions, or organizational events. When operational, the campground provides developed amenities including flush toilets with showers, potable water, picnic tables, and fire rings at the sites. Lake Isabella sits across the road, offering easy access to boating, windsurfing, fishing, and swimming. A boat launch is located approximately one mile away. The campground is managed by ExplorUs under a concessionaire agreement with the Forest Service. The Trail of a Hundred Giants and numerous sequoia groves within Giant Sequoia National Monument are accessible from the area for those seeking additional recreation opportunities.
