About

Lime Saddle Group Camps is the newest campground at Lake Oroville State Recreation Area, situated along the shores of California's second-largest reservoir. The facility features two distinct group camping areas: Pinecone and Acorn. Each area includes a shade structure with three picnic tables, a large barbecue grill, water fountain with spigot, and trash receptacles. Six individual tent sites are spread across both areas, with three designated as ADA accessible. The central amenity building provides three ADA-accessible flush toilets and two ADA-accessible showers. The Pinecone section offers two ADA sites accessed via a multi-level ramp system, while Acorn provides one ADA campsite directly adjacent to the main gathering area. Parking accommodates 16 vehicles including two ADA spaces. Lake Oroville offers 15,500 surface acres and 167 miles of shoreline, with excellent fishing for bass, trout, and salmon. The nearby Lime Saddle Marina provides boat rentals and a park store. The campground is accessed via Pentz Road off Highway 70, approximately 75 miles north of Sacramento.
