About

Foreman Creek Boat-in Campground is centrally located on the north side of Lake Oroville, west of the Foreman Creek car-top boat ramp, making it convenient for visitors launching from the Spillway and Bidwell Canyon areas. This primitive campground features 26 individual campsites spread along the shoreline, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring with cooking grill. The campground is identified by signs visible from the water to help boaters navigate to the sites. As a boat-in only facility, Foreman Creek is accessible exclusively by watercraft, offering a more secluded camping experience on Lake Oroville's 167 miles of shoreline. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations accepted. Campers must check in at either the Spillway or Lime Saddle entrance station before proceeding to their campsite. All visitors must bring their own drinking water, as potable water is not available at the campground. Pit toilets are provided on site. Lake Oroville is renowned for excellent fishing opportunities, with largemouth and smallmouth bass, chinook salmon, catfish, mackinaw, sturgeon, brown trout, and white crappie. The lake offers outstanding conditions for power boating, water-skiing, and exploring the surrounding foothills. The campground accommodates up to eight guests per campsite, making it suitable for families and small groups seeking a waterfront camping experience.
