Lake Oroville SRA Loafer Creek Glamping offers an elevated camping experience within one of Northern California's premier recreation areas. The glamping sites feature 16-foot bell tents with two full-size memory foam beds on bed frames, eliminating the need to haul and set up traditional camping gear. Three glamping campsites are available: two sites have one tent each, while two sites have two tents, accommodating groups of varying sizes. Note that only tents and mattresses are provided; guests must bring all bedding, linens, and camping essentials. The glamping sites are situated within Loafer Creek Campground, a well-developed facility set among mature oaks on the south end of Lake Oroville. Guests have access to flush restrooms, hot showers (quarters required), drinking water, and an RV dump station. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. The campground serves as the gateway to Lake Oroville's extensive recreation opportunities, including boating, water skiing, fishing, swimming, and hiking. The Loafer Creek boat launch provides convenient lake access. Reservations are made through ReserveCalifornia with a two-night minimum stay requirement. The glamping season runs from April 1 through October 15. Pets are allowed on leash at the glamping sites but are prohibited on floating campsites. The campground is located off Highway 162, approximately 68 miles north of Sacramento via Highway 70.

Directions

From Sacramento, take Highway 70 north 68 miles to Highway 162. Continue east 9.5 miles on Highway 162 to Loafer Creek Road. Turn left into the park.
