About

Lime Saddle Campground is located in Lake Oroville State Recreation Area along the shores of Lake Oroville, Northern California's largest state reservoir. Situated in the Sierra Nevada foothills near Paradise, the campground features approximately 50 spacious sites nestled among towering oaks and pines. Lake Oroville was created by the tallest earth-filled dam in the country and offers 15,500 surface acres of water and 167 miles of shoreline when at maximum elevation. The campground provides a mix of sites for tents and RVs, with some sites equipped with water and electric hookups. Modern amenities include flush toilets, showers, and potable water. Each site typically features a picnic table and fire ring. The Lime Saddle area includes a marina with boat rentals and a park store, making it a convenient base for exploring the lake. Fishing is outstanding year-round, with largemouth and smallmouth bass, chinook salmon, catfish, mackinaw, sturgeon, and brown trout. The area's Mediterranean-type climate brings mild winters, pleasant springs with wildflowers, warm to hot summers, and beautiful autumn sunsets.
