About

Lavonia Campground sits along the shores of Lavon Lake, a 21,400-acre reservoir on the East Fork of the Trinity River in northern Texas. Located just beyond the Dallas metropolitan area near Wylie, the campground provides an accessible escape for camping, fishing, boating, and swimming. The campground features 53 sites across three loops: 38 RV sites with water, 30 amp electric, and sewer hookups, plus 15 tent-only sites with water access. Each site accommodates up to 8 people and 3 vehicles. RV sites can handle rigs up to 59 feet. Facilities include flush toilets, hot showers, and a dump station. The park also has a boat ramp and swimming area. Anglers target channel catfish, crappie, and striped bass in the lake. The nearby Sister Groves Trail offers paved paths for biking and hiking. Note that the park entrance gate closes at 10 p.m. and reopens at 10 a.m., with no vehicle entry permitted during those hours.
