About

Lavonia Campground is a scenic Texas getaway located just beyond the Dallas metropolitan area on the southeastern shores of Lavon Lake. The campground provides convenient access to 21,400 acres of water on the East Fork of the Trinity River, making it an ideal destination for water-based recreation and relaxation. The campground offers 38 RV sites equipped with water, 30 amp electric, and sewer hookups, along with 15 tent sites for those seeking a more traditional camping experience. Additional amenities include hot showers and a boat launch for easy lake access. The park entrance gate closes at 10 p.m. and reopens at 10 a.m., with no vehicle entry allowed between those hours. Visitors of all ages can enjoy a variety of activities including camping, swimming, fishing, boating, and picnicking. Anglers seek popular species like channel catfish, crappie, and striped bass. For those interested in hiking and biking, the paved Sister Groves Trail at nearby Sister Grove Creek offers additional recreational opportunities.
