About

Laurel Summit State Park is a compact six-acre day-use area situated at 2,739 feet above sea level in the Laurel Highlands of southwestern Pennsylvania. The high elevation makes it noticeably cooler than surrounding towns, providing a refreshing escape during warm months. The park offers a reservable pavilion that accommodates up to 46 people, along with picnic tables, restrooms, and drinking water. The site serves as an important trailhead for hiking and outdoor recreation. Visitors can access Spruce Flats Bog Natural Area and the Wolf Rocks Trail from here. Additional activities include cross-country skiing, mountain biking, and snowmobiling on designated trails. No overnight camping is permitted at Laurel Summit State Park. This is strictly a day-use facility that closes at dusk. The area operates as carry in/carry out, so visitors must take all trash with them. The park is managed by Linn Run State Park, which handles pavilion reservations and visitor inquiries.
