About

Linn Run State Park encompasses 612 acres of varied topography covered in mixed hardwood and evergreen forest, creating a scenic retreat in Westmoreland County. The park's centerpiece is Linn Run, an excellent trout stream, along with nearby Adam Falls waterfall accessible from the picnic area. Overnight accommodations consist exclusively of cabins rather than traditional tent or RV camping. Nine rustic cabins accommodate 2-6 guests and include basic furnishings: double bunk beds, kitchen tables and chairs, electric stoves, refrigerators, and fireplace inserts. These are served by outside water spigots, rustic toilets, and a modern washhouse with showers and flush toilets. One modern cabin sleeps six, offers ADA accessibility, and is available year-round. During peak summer season (June through August), only weekly rentals are available; nightly stays require a two-night minimum during non-peak periods. Recreational activities include fishing, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, picnicking, wildlife watching, and winter recreation. The park is located near Ligonier, reached by traveling east on US 30 then south on PA 381 to Linn Run Road at Rector.
