Youghiogheny River At Connellsville affecting Fayette County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Youghiogheny River at Connellsville. * WHEN...Until this evening. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Flooding begins in the vicinity of Yough Park. At 14.0 feet, Several inches of water floods basements of about 30 homes along left bank. River is bankful along the left bank just downstream from the Crawford Street Bridge. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:15 AM EDT Tuesday the stage was 11.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this morning to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late this afternoon. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 12.8 feet on 01/12/2005. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

* WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...A portion of western Maryland, including the following areas, Garrett County. * WHEN...Through late tonight. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are possible through tonight in western Maryland. While most locations will generally see less than 2 inches of rainfall, isolated locations could see up to 2 to 4 inches. * WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of western Maryland, including the following county, Garrett. * WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work downstream. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 854 AM EDT, the Casselman River at Grantsville has crested and is now receding, although flooding continues. Emergency Management reports high water along the Cassleman River at Durst Road, Jennings Road, Dung Hill Road, Bittinger Road, and Maple Grove Road. - Additional showers and thunderstorms may reach the area after 11 AM. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
