Northeastern Ritchie County in northwestern West Virginia... * WHEN...Until 700 PM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 948 AM EDT, Flooding continues along many creeks and streams across the area as a result of heavy thunderstorms Tuesday evening. This includes Duck Creek and the Little Muskingum River. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... St. Marys, Middlebourne, Paden City, Sistersville, Matamoras, Lowell, Macksburg, Friendly, Lower Salem, New Matamoras, Point Lookout, Arvilla, Wick, Mountain, Alma, Lima and Devola. - This includes Interstate 77 in Ohio between mile markers 6 and 17. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

About

Formerly the Lane family farm, this small campground sits on the banks of the Little Muskingum River approximately 5 miles north of Marietta, Ohio. The four campsites offer a peaceful setting along the National Forest Covered Bridge Scenic Byway, making it an ideal base for exploring the historic covered bridges in the area. The campground is primitive in nature with vault toilets but no potable water available on-site. Campers should come prepared with their own drinking water. The riverside location provides good access to fishing opportunities in the Little Muskingum. Sites include fire rings and picnic tables. This campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations accepted through Recreation.gov. It is open seasonally from April 15 through December 19.

Directions

From Interstate 77, take Exit 1 (SR 7). Go towards Marietta on SR 7. Turn right at Acme Street (the first light). Acme Street ends at Greene Street. Turn right on Greene Street (SR 26). Follow SR 26 out of Marietta approximately 5 miles to the campground.
