About
Forked Run State Park Group Campground provides a dedicated group camping facility within this scenic 817-acre park in Meigs County, Ohio. The group camp can accommodate up to 120 individuals and must be reserved in advance through the Ohio State Parks reservation system. Located in the forested hill country of southeastern Ohio, the park is characterized by rolling Appalachian terrain, hardwood forests, and the peaceful 102-acre Forked Run Lake. The group camp offers a primitive camping experience with access to the park's shared facilities, including vault latrines, hot showers (seasonal), and a dump station. Potable water is available at stations throughout the campground. The park provides excellent opportunities for fishing, hiking, swimming at the lake beach, and wildlife observation. Note that cell phone service is limited or unavailable at the campground. The surrounding area offers easy access to Forked Run Lake for fishing and non-motorized boating, as well as hiking trails through the Appalachian forest. The park's location along the Ohio River corridor provides a quiet, natural setting away from urban development.
