At 34.0 feet, Several areas near the river are flooded. Homes, farmland, camps, several sections of Route 60, and secondary roads near the river are flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 2:45 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 26.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 26.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this afternoon to a crest of 34.0 feet just after midnight tonight. * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Central Morgan County in southeastern Ohio... * WHEN...Until 400 AM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of the Muskingum River at and near McConnelsville is expected this afternoon and evening. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1219 PM EDT, The gauge at McConnelsville on the Muskingum River was reading 6.1 feet and rising. The river is forecast to crest near 7.5 feet this evening. Due to the recent dam replacement, the official flood stage is no longer representative of known impacts. Flooding of areas away from the gauge can be expected at lower stages. At stages of 7.5 feet, sections of Route 669 above Malta and other roads along the river being to flood. In addition, low-lying areas adjacent to the river, including recreational boat ramps, will also experience flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
