About

Lake Wissota State Park Campground provides a quiet, wooded camping experience on the shores of a 6,300-acre reservoir northeast of Chippewa Falls. The 116 family campsites are spread through a forested setting, with 58 sites offering electric hookups for RVs and trailers. A modern restroom building with flush toilets and showers serves the campground, along with an RV dump station. A large play area within the campground makes it suitable for families. The park offers excellent water recreation on Lake Wissota, including a swimming beach, boat launch, canoeing, kayaking, and water skiing. Onshore activities include hiking trails, mountain biking, and horseback riding trails. Firewood is available for purchase at the park office and via 24-hour vending machines near the shower facility. A separate group campground at the south end of the park features two walk-to tent-only sites accommodating up to 80-100 people each, ideal for scout troops or family reunions.
