The campground is currently open. Some sites are first-come-first-served while others are reservable through Recreation.gov. The campground typically operates from mid-May through early October. Maximum stay is 14 days.

About
Coho Campground occupies a forested setting on the west shore of Wynoochee Lake, surrounded by the evergreen conifers and hardwoods of Olympic National Forest. The campground offers 46 standard drive-in campsites suitable for tents, trailers, and RVs up to 36 feet in length. Additionally, there are eight walk-in tent sites, one walk-in group site accommodating 12 people, and three yurts built on elevated platforms with lake views. Each yurt is 16 feet in diameter and equipped with heat, electric lights, a futon couch, bunk bed, and table and chairs. Recreational opportunities include swimming, boating, fishing, and hiking. The Working Forest Nature Trail, a half-mile accessible interpretive loop, begins inside the campground. The 16-mile Wynoochee Lake Shore Trail encircles the entire lake and is open to mountain bikes. Nearby attractions include Spoon Creek Falls and Wynoochee Falls, both accessible via short trails, and the Wynoochee Dam overlook. No commercial services exist at Wynoochee Lake. Campers should arrive with sufficient fuel and supplies for their stay. The RV dump station is located just outside the campground on Forest Road 2294.
Directions
From Montesano, head north on Wynoochee Valley Road (1 mile west of Montesano off Route 12). Drive 35 miles on Wynoochee Valley Road/Forest Road 22 to a major intersection. Turn left to stay on FR 22, drive a short distance, then turn right on Forest Road 2294. Continue about 1 mile to the campground.
