About

Lebar Horse Camp is a 13-site equestrian campground nestled within the Olympic National Forest along the South Fork Skokomish River corridor. Large evergreen conifers and hardwoods provide ample shade throughout the camp. Each site is designed to accommodate a horse trailer and camper with space to hitch horses to a highline near the camp unit. The campground offers vault toilets and a picnic shelter, though no potable water is available. Sites are first-come, first-served with payment handled via QR code through the Recreation.gov mobile app. The maximum trailer or RV length is 28 feet, and pets must remain leashed. The Lower South Fork Skokomish Trail #873 begins directly across from the camp entrance and is open to stock, providing access to excellent horseback riding terrain. Hiking, fishing, and hunting opportunities are also available in the surrounding area. This campground is specifically designed for visitors with stock animals.
