About

Located in the South Fork Skokomish River area of Olympic National Forest, Lebar Horse Camp is a specialized equestrian campground designed exclusively for visitors with stock. The campground features 13 spacious sites that can accommodate a horse trailer and camper, with room to hitch horses to a highline near each camp unit. Large evergreen conifers and hardwoods provide ample shade throughout the camp. The campground includes a picnic shelter and vault toilet, but campers should be prepared to bring their own water as no potable water is available on-site. This horse camp is designed specifically for stock use, and visitors without horses are encouraged to use nearby Brown Creek Campground instead. The presence of stock creates a different camping experience than typical non-stock campgrounds, with additional space dedicated to parking and hitching areas, along with the characteristic noises and smells associated with horses. Lebar Horse Camp serves as a gateway to trails along the South Fork of the Skokomish River, with a wildlife gate beyond the campground providing seasonal access to the Skokomish Lower South Fork Trail system. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis and accommodates RVs and trailers up to 28 feet in length.
