About

Campbell Tree Grove Campground is a free, primitive camping area located in the heart of Olympic National Forest's temperate rainforest. The campground sits adjacent to the West Fork Humptulips River and encompasses an impressive stand of old-growth trees that illuminate this distinctive and vital wild area. Access to the West Fork Humptulips Trail #806 begins along the river adjacent to the campground. The campground offers basic amenities including vault toilets and picnic tables, though campers must bring their own drinking water as no potable water is available on site. Pets are welcome but must remain on leash; horses and pack animals are not permitted. Due to the remote forest roads and site configurations, trailers and RVs longer than 16 feet cannot be accommodated. Reaching the campground requires a scenic drive on forest roads. From Aberdeen, take Highway 101 north for 25 miles to Forest Service Road 22/Donkey Creek Road, then continue 8 miles to the junction with Forest Service Road 2204. Turn left and drive 14 miles to reach Campbell Tree Grove Campground.
