About

Lake Lurleen State Park encompasses 1,625 acres surrounding its namesake 250-acre lake, located nine miles northwest of Tuscaloosa near Coker, Alabama. The park is named for Lurleen Burns Wallace, Alabama's only female governor. The campground underwent recent renovations, resulting in 67 full-hookup RV sites featuring smooth paved pads, 20/30/50-amp electrical service, water, and sewer connections. Seven improved tent sites offer a more traditional camping experience. Waterfront campsites include private deck patios with direct water access. The campground is divided into multiple loops, with Loops C and D featuring 46 combined sites, a dump station, children's playground, pavilion, and trail access. Modern amenities include brand-new bathhouses with flush toilets and showers, on-site laundry facilities, and upgraded Wi-Fi throughout the campground. The park offers fishing, boating with a boat launch, hiking trails, swimming beaches, and picnic areas. Reservations are handled through the Alabama State Parks reservation system at reserve.alapark.com.
